Compassion

Jamahl and I were talking about a friend of his who seems to be little bossy. I was asking him how he felt about the way that she talked to him, because quite frankly it was getting on my last nerve. Finally, he said "Mom, you know she has heart issues...(this little girl does have some health issues), the way I figure is since she has a bad heart, her heart can't change those bad thoughts into good ones. She can't help being mean so I just ignore her."



So...what did I learn???? My son has more compassion than I do. If only we could see the world thru the eyes of a five year old, the world would be a lot friendlier place. I think that will be my goal from now on.
