Trouble while Daddy is gone!

Paul is on his first business trip since the babies were born so he is gone for the week! Can you sence how much Mommy is thrilled about that! Anyways, the kids have decided that while daddy is away, it is time to play! I left the gate open for no longer than 25 seconds to help Jamahl. I canme back and did my usual head count only to find I was missing a girl. My only thought was, "Oh NO! It is ABBY!" I went looking for her but could not find her until I heard a strange noise coming from the sun room. There she was, sitting on the piano bench. She had turned it on and was playing away. The strange thing is that she has never seen anyone turn it on! She is way too smart for our good. Only our Abby.

Then there is Keyan. While the other girls eat I can usually let her wander around the kitchen. Well apparently her days of staying close are over. Jamahl starts yelling, "Keyan is ordering something on the computer!" (Has he seen too much internet shopping?) I go in to find Keyan typing away and the computer screen filled with all sorts of command acreens! I guesss she is planning on taking after Daddy. All I know is it is time for Daddy to come HOME!

Where does the time go?

We were able to get the kids outside again today to play in the snow. After sledding down the very slippery hill, Jamahl decided that everyone should go up into the play structure. The girls loved being up high with their big brother. When we finally forced them to come inside before they froze to death, Jamahl told them he would catch them at the bottom of the slide. After they all got down, he looked at them at said, "Look at my little girls...they sure are growing up." He must have been reading my mind! What a great big brother.

A snow day with Daddy!

After watching "Barney" for the 100th time, we decided to bundle eveyone up and get them outside. It is no easy task to get 5 kids ready for the now but it was very worth it. Abagayle was so excited to be going outside until she realized that she was going to have to walk in the snow. She did not like the boots so she just stood and yelled, "no shoes in snow mommy!" Paul has decided that she is going to be our high maintanence girl! Go figure!!!

We were not sure what to do with Keyan since she can not walk in the snow so I grabbed a sled for her to sit on. It wasn't long before Abby realized this was the better way to get around! They both loved being pulled by Jamahl and Daddy. What started out as a few minutes to explore the snow turned into our first sledding adventure.

Jamahl is getting pretty good at controlling where the sled goes. He is still pretty scared of tiping over but his moves are coming along! Daddy spent a lot of time trying to convince him that it was fun to fall. (Good luck on that)

McKenzy takes her first ride down the hill. She had fun but she much prefers just to wander into the woods. She is not deterred by the snow at all. It was not unusual to find way back by the barn. You never quite know where she is going to go.

Keyan took her turn next and loved it. You could hear her laughing the whole tiime. When it wasn't her turn she was yelling as loud as she could (which isn't very loud!) "I READY...TURN" IF we could have kept her boots on her skinny feet I am not sure we ever would have got her to come inside.

Abagayle went next and as you can see she is the dare devil of the bunch. Her face tells it all. She loved going again and again as long as she did not have to walk back up the hill. Daddy told her that she likes to have all the fun without doing any of the work. No one will ever call her dumb!

Last but not least is our Sidney bear. She patiently waited her turn every time and just enjoyed her time flying down the hill with Daddy. Sidney loves our dog Molly so she had just as much fun chasing her around. You haven't heard a sweeter rendition of "How much is that Molly is the winnow?" until you hear Sidney sing it.
Hopefully you all either find time to enjoy the snow or you are someplace nice and warm! Have a great weekend.

A huge day!

Your eyes are not deceiving you...Keyan is walking! While it is still not her main mode of transportation, she is enjoying her new talent. She loves to walk back and forth between two people but does not like to stop and get her balance. Obviously, we have all shed a lot of tears at her accomplishment. We have waited a long time for this day, and are so proud of her. God has blessed us with yet another miracle.

Welcome!!!

Well, after 2 or more years of people being frustrated with my lack of pictures and updates, I have decided to try my hand at the cyber-world. I am a little nervous about how this whole thing works but I guess I might as well give it a whirl! Hopefully our family and friends will now be able to keep up on the craziness of our lives. Thanks for checking it out.
