Just a few moments to quickly share.
We spent some time at the Museum this past weekend. Here are all of my children pretending to be civil war soldiers…with beards! We were all laughing pretty hard as they tried different ones!
For several logical reasons that I won’t go into here, the kid’s school celebrated Cinco de Mayo today. I know it is strange, but whatever! Anyhow, the girls got to wear the dresses that my parents brought them from Mexico. They were super excited. The black shirts were the only solid color t-shirt we had so we just made do! By the time they decided to wear their hair braided, I think they look more like girls from a very strict religious group, but oh well!!! It was all their idea, and some days you just have to run with it!
I found this poem on the girls bedroom floor. It was written by Sidney who has such a soft heart. The girls have been struggling with some “friendship” issues at school. Just typical stuff like getting left out, feeling like no one wants to be your friend, and learning how to navigate the complicated world of friends. I have been so proud of how they have helped each other solve the problems.
Lastly, a lot of my blogging world friends are doing happiness photo journals this year on their blog. When I stepped into the shower yesterday morning, I couldn’t help but think that if I were doing a happiness journal, this would be my post.
These little LaLaLoopsie dolls had taken up residence in our shower. They were everywhere I turned. These dolls just make you smile with their bright colors, smiling faces, and dangling little legs. But what struck me was the creative fun my girls had and how I am so thankful for their happy little hearts that enjoy playing, being creative, and enjoying life. Sure, they were all over my shower, but it was a reminder of my children’s love for life!
May you be surrounded by happy faces today!
